Stephen C. Keller

About Stephen C. Keller

Stephen C. Keller joined Schiller Barnes Maloney PLLC in 2004 and he became a partner in 2012.  His practice areas include automobile and trucking negligence, bad faith and insurance coverage issues, governmental and tort liability litigation, and construction defects.

He was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky but Louisville has been his home since 1996. He received Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in Communication from the University of Kentucky. Before attending law school, he worked for the Kentucky legislature and its 1996 Commission on Poverty.

Stephen’s work has generated published decisions in multiple cases including Travelers Indemnity Company v. Charles Armstrong, et al., 565 S.W.3d 550, (Ky. 2018), Dippin’ Dots LLC v. Travelers Property Cas. Co. of America, 322 F.R.D. 271, (W.D. Ky. Aug. 23, 2017) and Patterson v. City of Earlington, 650 F.Supp.2d 674 (W.D. Ky. 2009).  He is also the author of an article entitled “Overcoming Special Obstacles in Non-Party Discovery” which was published in the Fall-Winter 2016 edition of the Kentucky Defense Counsel’s Common Defense magazine.

He has been a member of DRI since 2004 and he currently serves as the newsletter editor for DRI’s Governmental and Tort Liability Committee.

He lives in Louisville with his wife and two children.  In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling and reading.
