About Michael S. Maloney
Michael S. Maloney joined the firm in 2000 and, along with Richard Schiller and David Barnes, created what is now known as Barnes Maloney PLLC. His practice areas include wrongful death and catastrophic injury, construction defects and accidents, trucking and automobile negligence and insurance bad faith.
He was born and raised in northern Kentucky and began practicing law in Louisville in 1993 after graduating from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in state and federal courts across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and in Southern Indiana.
Michael is a member of the Kentucky Defense Counsel (KDC) and DRI. He previously served on the KDC Board and as chairman of the litigation section of the Louisville Bar Association. He has been recognized as one of the top attorneys in Kentucky in the Thomson Reuters “Super Lawyers” publication each year from 2009 to the present. Michael is married and has two teenage daughters. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing golf, snow skiing, and traveling.
