About Chad Kessinger
Chad Kessinger joined Barnes Maloney PLLC in 2001, and became a partner with the firm in 2010. He handles civil litigation and regulatory matters throughout Kentucky and surrounding states, with an emphasis in the construction, mining, explosives and blasting industries. Chad is an AV-rated construction attorney with 20 years of experience serving as lead counsel for contractors, mine operators, blasting subcontractors, and trucking companies in all types of tort and contract based actions. He further represents insurers and claims management professionals with respect to these lines of business.
Chad grew up on a tobacco and cattle farm in a small, central Kentucky town before going to Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where he earned degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he served on the Trial Advocacy Board.
Chad has been a featured speaker at the Kentucky Blasting Conference, and is a member of ISEE. He is a past contributing editor for the Kentucky Court Report and Louisville LawWire Blogs. Chad regularly updates clients on recent developments and noteworthy trends in Kentucky law, and further counsels them on effective risk management procedures.
Chad moved to Louisville in 1999, and currently resides in Crestwood in neighboring Oldham County, Kentucky, with his wife and two sons.
