Blake Edwards & Daniel Wenig Obtain Summary Judgment for Premises Owner
In February 2026, Blake Edwards and Daniel Wenig obtained Summary Judgment in Fayette Circuit Court on behalf of a company that operates a roller-skating rink and the building owner. Both companies were sued for personal injuries which arose when a patron fell at the property. The plaintiff patron alleged that the companies negligently maintained the property and failed to warn him of the allegedly dangerous condition, which caused him to fall. Mr. Edwards and Mr. Wenig argued that there was no evidence of any negligent condition on the property, and that the plaintiff fell due to his own negligence. The Court was convinced by these arguments and promptly granted Summary Judgment on all grounds in favor of the companies and dismissed all of the plaintiff’s claims asserted against the companies.
