Blake Edwards & Daniel Wenig Obtain Summary Judgment for Auto Dealership

In April 2021, Blake Edwards and Daniel Wenig obtained Summary Judgment in Jefferson Circuit Court on behalf of an automobile dealership that was sued for, among other claims, fraud and violation of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act.  Plaintiff alleged that the automobile dealership falsely conveyed financing terms when it sold her a motor vehicle.  Mr. Edwards and Mr. Wenig argued that Plaintiff’s claims were required to be arbitrated due to an arbitration provision that the parties ratified in the purchase agreement.  The Court agreed, and granted Summary Judgment in favor of the auto dealership and dismissed all of Plaintiff’s claims.
