Mike Maloney and Blake Edwards Successfully Defended a Construction Company – 2015

In May 2015, Mike Maloney and Blake Edwards obtained Summary Judgment in Boyd Circuit Court on behalf of a construction company that was sued for property damage to a building that was located adjacent to the company’s construction site. Plaintiffs contended that the construction company’s activities on the construction site caused cracks in the exterior of their building and parking lot. The Court found that Plaintiffs were not the real party in interest and that the statute of limitations had expired on the real party in interest’s property damage claim. As a result, the Court dismissed all claims against the construction company.
