About David D. Cutt
David joined Schiller Barnes Maloney PLLC in January 2020. He focuses his practice on insurance defense and civil litigation.
David grew up in Illinois before his family moved to Tennessee, and then Campbellsville, Kentucky. After living in Louisville and serving in the workforce for several years, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served over a year in Iraq as a Military Policeman working for the Joint Prosecution and Exploitation Center. Law school led David back to the Louisville area to attend the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his J.D. in 2016. While at U of L, he was a member of the Moot Court Board, and a Structured Study Group Leader and liaison for the program. David also taught in both the Street Law and Marshall-Brennan programs at Central High School, as well as being the recipient of the Samuel L. Greenbaum Public Service Award, which set the school’s all-time record for community service hours.
David has called Louisville home since graduating from law school in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, David worked for over three years as an Assistant Public Defender in Louisville litigating cases in District and Circuit Courts.
Outside of work, David enjoys exploring Louisville, watching his beloved Cubs play, and spending time with friends and family.
