Chapin E. Scheumann
About Chapin E. Scheumann
Chapin joined Schiller Barnes Maloney PLLC in September 2017. Her practice is focused on medical malpractice defense, as well as premises liability and other general insurance defense. Chapin practiced in these areas prior to joining Schiller Barnes Maloney as well, allowing her to bring a solid base of knowledge and skill with her to the firm.
Chapin has had notable success in obtaining summary dispositions for her clients in a wide variety of cases – from standard of care questions in medical malpractice to breach of duty inquiries in premises liability. Chapin is also a strong advocate for her clients on appeal, working to ensure that favorable results stand.
As a Louisville native, in her free time Chapin enjoys giving back to her community by serving as Assistant Coach of Louisville Male High School Swim Team, and as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. She also serves on the Kentucky Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee, and the Louisville Bar Association’s Gender Equality Committee and Mentoring Subcommittee.
When she is not volunteering, you can find Chapin cooking, crafting, or staying active with her husband and their two dogs.
