About Chapin E. Scheumann
Chapin joined Schiller Barnes Maloney in September 2017. Her practice is focused on medical malpractice defense, as well as premises liability, transportation litigation, and other general insurance defense.
A Louisville native, Chapin received her B.A. in Political Science in 2012 from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Chapin then returned home to Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky College of Law, and received her J.D. in 2015. While at UK, Chapin twice competed as a member of the National Trial Competition Team, and was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Trial Advocate Award for her performance as a competing member of the Trial Advocacy Board.
Before joining the firm, Chapin practiced medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, and premises liability defense at the Sheffer Law Firm, PLLC.
In her free time, Chapin serves as Assistant Coach of Louisville Male High School Swim Team and as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. Chapin enjoys cooking, reading, and staying active with her dog, Ainsley.
